IDP helps you apply
Apply for an Australian course in eight easy
steps:
- Contact your
local IDP office
Our counsellors are trained to listen to your academic and personal
needs and suggest the best options for you.
- Collect the required documentation
Your
IDP counsellor will give you all the information and advice you
need about application requirements for your courses.
- Apply for your course
Apply to your
chosen Australian education institution through your IDP
office. Pay any necessary application fees.
- Offer of placement
If you meet the
institution's criteria, you will receive a letter of provisional
acceptance into your course, including information about
tuition fees. (If you do not meet the criteria, IDP will discuss
bridging courses or other options.)
- Accept your offer
Through your IDP
office, pay your tuition fees to accept the offer of placement in
your chosen course.
- Arrange health cover
The Australian
Government requires international students to have Overseas Student Health Cover. Your IDP
counsellor can help arrange this for you.
- Confirmation of enrolment
You will
receive a letter confirming your enrolment into your chosen
course.
- Apply for student visa
Your IDP
counsellor will guide you through the visa
procedure.
Your IDP counsellor will also give you
practical tips about living in Australia. Some IDP offices have
pre-departure seminars where you’ll meet other international
students. Once you’re in Australia, our support continues through
our student offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and
Perth.
