University stories

A different approach to learning

“I learnt more in the first six weeks at university than in my three years in polytechnic. The way I was taught in Singapore was to memorise but in Australia I was made to think, analyse and come up with solutions. I was happy that I was learning, rather than memorising, and did well in my studies.”

- Johnny is studying a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing.

‘Makes you an international citizen’

“My education in Australia has helped me to think critically, plan strategically and act practically. But an international education goes beyond that – it makes you a better person as well as a good international citizen. It makes you knowledgeable, provides zest to achieve your goals, as well as strive for excellence, and is the seed for a better future for yourself, as well as for a better world.”

- Indian student, George, studied Management in International Business.

‘Satisfied my curiosity for research’

“My university experience in Australia was greatly enjoyable and unforgettable. Primarily it exposed me to some very beautiful ideas and theories, and certainly allowed me to indulge in my passion and satisfy my curiosity for research.”

- Kim studied a PhD in Australia.

Insight into other cultures

“As an Accounting major, my experience in Australia provided me with the ability to relate more to other cultures and to see the way they view international business practices. This experience helped me develop my leadership qualities and has given me a greater sense of maturity. It has provided me with insight, therefore making me a better candidate for a job.”

- Charlene studied a Bachelor of Business in Accounting.

High teaching standards
