Apply for a course in eight steps

 

IDP services are free. Use the IDP experts to guide you into your future study and career path.

 

  1. Contact your local IDP office
    Our counsellors are trained to listen to your academic and personal needs and suggest the best options for you.
  2. Collect the required documentation
    Your IDP counsellor will give you all the information and advice you need about application requirements for your courses of study.
  3. Apply for your course
    Apply to your chosen Australian education institution through your IDP office. Pay any necessary application fees.
  4. Offer of placement
    If you meet the institution's criteria, you will receive a letter of provisional acceptance into your course, including information about tuition fees. (If you do not meet the criteria, your IDP counsellor will discuss bridging courses or other stuyd options.)
  5. Accept your offer
    Through your IDP office, pay your tuition fees to accept the offer of placement in your chosen course.
  6. Arrange health cover
    The Australian Government requires international students to take out health insurance while studying in Australia. You need Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). Your IDP counsellor can help arrange this for you.
  7. Confirmation of enrolment
    You will receive a letter confirming your enrolment into your chosen course.
  8. Apply for student visa
    Your IDP counsellor will guide you through the visa procedure.
