Quality assured
Australian education has a unique quality assurance system that
is upheld by the Australian Government. The quality of education
for international students is also protected by Australian law.
The Australian Qualifications Framework
ensures consistency in qualifications from different institutions
across Australia. That means you can do a Diploma in Business in
Perth or Newcastle and it will be of the same high standard. The
Framework also links all levels of study so that you can
progress seamlessly through the education system.
Australian universities establish their own academic and
performance standards, which are then audited every five years by
the Australian Universities Quality Agency
(AUQA), an independent, not-for-profit national agency.
International students are guaranteed high standards of
education and care through Australian law in the Education Services
for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act. It governs the quality and
delivery of education to foreign students and protects students
from fraudulent education providers.
Any Australian institutions that provide education to
international students must be registered with the Commonwealth Register of Institutions
and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). These institutions
must also comply with the
National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and
Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students.
